Indian seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has fully recovered from back strain, has been recalled in the 16-man Test squad for the remaining three games of the five-match series against England, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old, who sustained injury during the second Test against New Zealand, returned to the squad after missing the last Test against the Kiwis in Indore, the following ODI assignment and the first two games of the England series.
Meanwhile, Indian openers Gautam Gambhir and Shikhar Dhawan have been left out for the remaining matches. The duo is currently representing Delhi in the seventh round of Ranji Trophy clash against Rajasthan in Wayanad, Kerala.
Jayant Yadav has also been retained for the remaining matches against England following his impressive Test debut in Visakhapatnam, where he finished with four wickets overall.
India are currently leading the five-match series 1-0 after their massive 246-run win over the Alastair Cook-led side in the second match in Visakhapatnam.
The two sides will play their third match from Saturday at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali.
