The Crime Branch of Surat Police arrested six people, who had planned to loot a money transfer agency in Laskana here.
"These six people had planned to rob a money transfer agency. After a tip from reliable sources, we formed four teams and arrested all these six people on Friday," said R. R. Sarvaiya, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Surat Crime Branch.
The police have recovered two loaded pistols, six cartridges, four knives, two motorcycles and two mobile phones from the six people.
"One out of the six is a wanted criminal. We are further investigating the matter," Sarvaiya added.
