Big-B expresses his gratitude over his 4th National Film Award

Amitabh Bachchan took to his social networking sites to express his gratitude for honouring him with fourth National Award for 'Best Actor' for portraying the cranky Bhashkor Banerjee in Shoojit Sircar directed movie 'Piku.'

"To them that congratulate me for the National Award - most grateful .. thank you is never enough expression," wrote the 73-year-old actor on his Twitter handle.

The Shehenshah of Bollywood posted some snaps of firecrackers and Bhaskor Banerjee of 'Piku' and wrote "They celebrate my National Award on set .. and then as I leave the studio they burst a few crackers .. sweet !!!"

He even took to Twitter to congratulate Gujarat, the state which he endorses, to win the 'Most Film Friendly State' award.

 

"Congratulations National Award winners .. and to the State of Gujarat that wins 'Most Film Friendly State'," he tweeted.

The film fraternity also took to their respective twitter handles to laud Big-B for this achievement.

"He's da man!!!! Congratulations PA on winning yet another National Award. #piku #nationalaward #bestactor," posted Abhishek Bachchan on his Instagram account.

"Humbled & Ecstatic! #Piku wins over 30 awards! Thank you! :) @ShoojitSircar @deepikapadukone @SrBachchan @irrfan_k @SnehaRajani!," wrote Piku's official page.

"And the Legend is awarded...amit uncle is an unbelievable tour de force...#piku...#nationalaward...@SrBachchan...huge congratulations!!," tweeted Karan Johar.

"Mr Bachchan wins the prestigious National Award for #Piku!!!! And I am so happy!!!! Congratulations sir! @SrBachchan," wrote Piku's screenplay writer Juhi Chaturvedi.

"Congrats 2 all the winners of the #NationalAwards.Tough choices but All winners well deserving, esp @SrBachchan U R such an inspiration !," tweeted Shilpa Shetty Kundra.

"And @writeonj you're blessed with an amazing talent to churn out the quaint stories. Congratulation for getting the national award for #piku," wrote Ayushmann Khurrana.

"Congratulations @SrBachchan on your national award win sir!! Loved you in #Piku !," tweeted Sonam Kapoor.

"Many many congratulations for the national award @SrBachchan @writeonj @ShoojitSircar @SnehaRajani @ronnielahiri #PIKU :)," read Piku's music composer Anupam Roy's tweet.

"The bestest!!! @SrBachchan... #SuperHero Superman batman ironman all rolled into one person! #NationalAwards #piku," wrote Aditi Rao Hydari.

The Wazir actor received his first National Awards for acting for his 1990 hit 'Agneepath' which gave Indian Cinema its 'angry Young Man.' He was then honoured with the same in 2005 for 'Black' and 2009 for 'Paa.
