Offering their condolences on the passing of Bollywood's veteran actor and Member of Parliament Vinod Khanna, Anupam Kher said that this country will not only miss him as an actor, but for the great human he was.
Talking to ANI from London, Kher said, "Vinod Khanna sahab was one of the most passionate and warm human beings. I had the opportunity of meeting and spending some time with him and he was one amazing person. There was so much ease in his machoism."
"He could have been compared to any international actor and used to meet everybody with love and compassion. This country will not only miss him as an actor, but as a person, as a human being and for the amazing life he lived. I wish I could have spent some more time with him," he added.
Echoing the similar sentiments, actor-turned-politician Raza Murad said that losing Khanna is a big loss for our country, industry, BJP and his family.
"70 is not the age to die during this time and will not be easy to fill his gap. He has set examples for many more years to come. He gained popularity through his villain character and then his fans made him a hero," he said.
"When Vinod Khanna's cancer was detected, it had reached second or third stage and this is any eye opener for his crores of fans to take care of their health and get a health check up done in every six months," Murad added.
Bollywood's heartthrob best known for his roles in the films such as 'Amar Akbar Anthony,' 'Qurbaani' and 'Insaaf' - died of cancer at a hospital here on Thrusday morning.
