With the Bombay High Court suspending the five-year jail term for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, his 'rakhi sisters' and conjoined twins Saba and Farah Ahmad on Friday finally broke their fast after two days.

The twins hoped that their 'bhaijaan' would send them tickets so that they could see him soon.

"We are very happy after hearing the news. We have not eaten food since two days. We prayed for him and are very happy that our prayers have been answered," they said.

The twins from Bihar had begun a fast on Wednesday to express their solidarity with the superstar when he was sentenced to five years in jail.

Earlier in the day, the Bombay High Court suspended the Dabangg star's five year sentence in the 2002 hit-and-run case, which led to celebrations by ecstatic fans across the nation.

Salman has been asked to surrender his passport and submit a bail bond of Rs 30,000. The High Court will next hear the case on June 12.
