Dubbing the grand alliance as 'mahaswarthbandhan', Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a frontal attack on RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and said that the people of Bihar would on October 16 punish those who have ruined the state.

"The atmosphere I see, I compliment leaders of NDA, BJP that they had courage to hold rally in such a big ground. You are India's Supreme Court, Bihar's law makers. You are the ones who have to punish the people who have done wrong. On 16th October, you will punish those who have ruined this state," Prime Minister Modi said while addressing a rally in Sasaram.

Attacking the 'mahagathbandhan, the Prime Minister said the alliance, which ruled the state for 60 years failed miserably in living up to its promises.

"Congress for 35, Bade Bhai and Chhote Bhai for another 25 years. All three are such, who have fought each other at some point of time or the other. They never came together over the issue of Bihar's development," Prime Minister Modi said.

Questioning Lalu's absence from the campaigning in the run up to the assembly polls, Prime Minister Modi called him a 'big boss' who wants run Bihar with a remote control.

"What did the RJD chief do that he was barred from contesting the polls? The people of Bihar must ask Laluji as to why he is out of the elections this time? What did he do? He calls himself the big boss of Bihar and wants to run this state with a remote control," he added.
