Speaking on the issue of Bihar receiving a special status, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Saturday claimed that ordinary Biharis do not expect Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stand by his words.

"Let me tell you, being an ordinary Bihari, irrespective of political affiliation, they always knew this that the least they could expect from the Prime Minister, is to stand by his words, where he has failed time and again. I think they are just waiting for what they have seen in Delhi. Bihar will do them a greater Delhi, what Delhi did under Arvind Kejriwal," RJD leader Manoj Jha told ANI.

"The double speak of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government at the Centre, stands exposed. We always knew this that the special status guarantee or the promises made by the Prime Minister, in not less than a dozen meetings, was nothing but a façade for actually non-delivery of that kind of failure, for that kind of false promises," he said.

"We are happy and glad that BJP stands exposed even before the election dates are announced in Bihar," Jha added.
