Microsoft founder Bill Gates has reportedly said that it is all right if half of Silicon Valley startups are silly.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Gates said that innovation in California was at its absolute peak right now, adding that while half the companies are silly, two-thirds of them are going to go bankrupt.
However, he said, the dozen or so ideas that emerge out of that are going to be really important, Cnet reported
Gates made the remark in wake of a recent New York Times spread, criticizing Silicon Valley investors for encouraging their brightest technology minds to work on solving the problems of young professionals.
