ANI General News

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has resumed its services from New Delhi to Dhaka after a gap of five years, authorities said.

The plane carried 150 passengers from Dhaka and landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in the national capital on Monday. The aircraft carried 87 passengers in its returning flight.

As the plane touched down at New Delhi, it was greeted by an arch of water cannon.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali received the passengers and wished bon voyage to the departing ones at the airport.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines had suspended its direct flight operation on Dhaka-Delhi route in September 2014 citing aircraft shortage in its fleet.
