Bizarre habits of hotel guests revealed

It seems that for many people, a hotel stay is an excuse to shed the inhibitions, and the clothes.

According to a survey by travel website lastminute.com.au, hotel staff are frequently asked to arrange "adult services" for guests, News.com.au reported.

The raunchy requests reached new levels of awkwardness when one guest asked for a male staff member to deliver a bottle of Coca-Cola to her room and opened the door in the buff.

But that wasn't the strangest request. Another guest dared to ask a hotel employee to hold a video camera while they "got intimate" with their partner.

There were also several cases of naked guests being locked out of their hotel rooms, resulting in red-faced dashes to the front desk.

The naked man had placed his room service tray outside the door only to realise he'd forgotten his key, then was forced to walk down the hallway and past shocked fellow guests to get to the reception.

Another unlucky guest who'd forgotten his key (but fortunately had remembered his clothes) tried to swing into the room through the window, only to end up with a broken leg.

Other bizarre behaviour in Australian hotels includes requests to bring a pet snake inside, drive a golf buggy into the foyer, and snack on a dish of ice cream mixed with hot chips.
