Leaders of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) campaigned in Odisha.

BJD leader Ananga Udaya Singh Deo and BJP candidate, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo addressed several issues, in a bid to woo voters ahead of elections.

Interacting with mediapersons in Bolangir, Kanak Vardhan, said people were fed up with unresolved issues and the Congress.

"There are many issues prevailing in the area. There is still no electricity in the village. Rajiv Gandhi electricity scheme has failed completely. People are unemployed, they don't get work. The NREGA (National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) is failure here. I am contesting these elections for people whose issues have remained unresolved. People are angry with the Congress and they want a change," said Kanak Vardhan.

Meanwhile, one of the founder members of BJD, Ananga Udaya, said Congress and the BJP did not exist in Odisha.

"People are leaving the opposition party and joining Naveen Patnaik (chief of BJD). Congress is decimated. Congress doesn't exist and if you ask me, BJP does not exist either," said Ananga Udaya.
