Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kirti Azad on Sunday criticised Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is visiting the Muzaffarnagar riots relief camps, saying he is on a pseudo secularism trip.

"I think he is going on his pseudo-secularism trip, which they have been harping on for a very long time. It is basically crocodile tears, which they are shedding. This what they do and are good at," said Azad.

Lalu, who is on a surprise visit to the Muzaffarnagar relief camps, had earlier said, "Muzaffarnagar riot victims were in relief camps and during that time I was in jail. I got to know that many children have died due to the cold. So, I had decided that I would definitely visit the relief camps and meet the families staying there."

Kirti Azad also congratulated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, who became the Chief Minister of Delhi, and said, "I think it is too premature to comment on Arvind Kejriwal except that now he has become the Chief Minister of Delhi. I congratulate him. I hope that he meets the expectation of the people and fulfills the promises he has made.
