The Janata Dal United (JD-U) on Thursday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA Government was trying to take credit for the schemes, which had been launched in Bihar during the former UPA regime.

JD (U) leader K.C. Tyagi said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would during his visit to Bihar lay the foundation stone of the schemes, which had been initiated earlier.

"He is the guest of Bihar Government. The guest is equivalent to god," he added while responding to a poser on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's remark that he would welcome Prime Minister Modi at the airport and would also attend his programmes if invited.

Prime Minister Modi is likely to visit Bihar on July 25 during which he would address public gatherings in Patna and Muzaffarpur.

He is also scheduled to inaugurate a new campus of IIT at Bihta, and also the Daniawa-Biharsharif line.

The Prime Minister's visit to Bihar assumes significance as the assembly elections are scheduled to take place later this year in the state.
