The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said the types of death associated with the Vyapam scam were unfortunate and painful, adding that the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Madhya Pradesh Government has taken all steps possible to get to the bottom of this case.
BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister had requested the High Court to give an instruction for a CBI inquiry taking into note the sensitivity of this case.

" And the High Court has deferred the hearing, most likely today the Supreme Court will have to give some instruction on this issue," Trivedi told ANI here.
"As far as the BJP Government of Madhya Pradesh is concerned, right from initiating the inquiry, to constitution of SIT, to putting it under the observance of High Court..the government has done what needs to be done," he added.
The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister met the family of Akshay Singh, the journalist who died on Saturday while reporting on the Vyapam scam, earlier this morning.
"It is my mission in life to get to the bottom of this. I appeal that the CBI should probe this," Chouhan said after his visit to the journalist's East Delhi residence.
"We can't do anything to bring the son and the brother back. But we will extend all support. We offer assistance and a job," he added.
Chouhan had earlier requested the Madhya Pradesh High Court to order a CBI probe into the scam. The Madhya Pradesh High Court yesterday refused to hear the state government's plea for a CBI probe and deferred the matter till July 20 citing pendency of a similar plea in the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will hear today the petitions filed by Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and others for a CBI probe into the Vyapam scam. An apex court bench, headed by Chief Justice H.L. Dattu had on Tuesday agreed to give an urgent hearing and posted the matter for today.
As many as 46 people associated with the scam as accused or witnesses have died under mysterious circumstances, according to reports.
