Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Sunday accused the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of being hand in gloves against a possible third front government that might come to power after results of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
Mulayam lashed at Congress-led UPA Government and said its regime was marked by continuous corruption, inflation and lack of any border security.
"The Prime Minister did not have any answer on border security, inflation or on corruption. For five long years it was a corrupt government, there were loot and scandals and China continued to occupy our border. This government kept on insulting the country every time," said Yadav while addressing a rally here.
In a scathing attack on the BJP and the Congress, Yadav said both have been conspiring to ensure that third front, a coalition government of non BJP and non Congress parties, does not come to power after results of general elections would be out in a fortnight's time.
"BJP and Congress are hand in glove. They do not want a Third front government and therefore they don't answer the questions of the leaders," Yadav added.
Incidentally, on Saturday, Rahul Gandhi had ruled out supporting any other government.
"We will not support any other front. We will get adequate numbers," he said while campaigning in his parliamentary constituency, Amethi.
