West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh on Sunday said the way Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee speaks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they should also behave in the same manner.
"During the last elections also, she had said she would tie him with a rope, this is the Prime Minister's post and Modiji is not a common person, and a Chief Minister is using what type of words about him. We should also behave in the same manner and that is why I said about her in that manner."
"I had said the drama that she was doing in the national capital, if we wanted, we could have held her by hair and dragged her out. Our police are there, but we didn't do so because we believe in democracy," said Ghosh.
"However, when we do something here, we are baton charged, booked and arrested, and their goons thrash us, what type of democracy is this. We protest against this," he said.
"We cannot misbehave, but being opposition, we will protest against them and their language. We cannot fall below our moral level," Ghosh added.
