A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delegation met Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Friday, and reportedly raised the issue of terror threats to its leaders.
The meeting comes a day after the BJP demanded security to its top leaders.
Party spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman had said on Thursday that the party is concerned about the safety of their leaders' in the wake of media reports based on intelligence inputs.
"Media is reporting, based on IB sources, that there is a threat to all BJP leaders, we are anxious and want to know whether the Home Minister is taking any action," she said.
"Media reports based on IB sources suggest threats could lead to the kidnapping of BJP leaders. Our delegation will meet the Home Minister," she added.
