The BJP in Karnataka has demanded resignation of state Home Minister K J George for his alleged failure to control law and order in the state.
A delegation led by the leader of the Opposition Jagadish Shettar submitted a memorandum to Governor H R Bharadwaj today and demanded that he should direct the Chief Minister to immediately remove the Home Minister.
According to media reports the memorandum accuses the home minister of losing control over the police department.
The BJP alleged that the state Government has failed to act on law and order issues including several incidents of serious cases in the last one year.
It specifically referred to the state government maintaining silence over the public spat between the Bangalore city police commissioner and ADGP rank officer, who allegedly clicked pictures of young girls in a coffee shop recently.
