Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Friday launched a scathing attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for "sympathising" with "urban Naxals."

"By extending support to the CPI candidate Kanhaiya Kumar, Kejriwal has shown that his real sympathy lies with urban Naxalism and 'Tukre-Tukre' gang led by Kumar," said Gupta in a press release.

He also pointed out that Kejriwal's "secret agenda" is not giving permission to the Delhi police to file charge-sheet in the sedition case against Kanhaiya Kumar.

"CPI's Bihar Secretary Satya Narain Singh has confirmed that Kejriwal will campaign for Kanhaiya in Begusarai," he said.

Calling Kejriwal an "anti-national" with an "anarchist mindset", he said: "Though he had no role to play in (Jawaharlal Nehru University) JNU affair, he had jumped into the fray with his secret agenda," he said.
