Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sadhvi Prachi today demanded security from the government, claiming that she had been attacked several times.
Criticising the Uttar Pradesh Government for not taking her demands seriously, Prachi said that she has been attacked two-three times, and is receiving continuous threats, but the state government is not taking her request to grant security seriously.
"I am demanding security because I have been attacked several times. Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan launched an attack on me during the elections and also damaged my car. My driver was also hit and when my brother tried to save me, he was also attacked. Some people reached my hermitage to injure me with weapons. I got an FIR lodged and now I am demanding security but haven't got any so far," said Prachi.
"Today, I have come here to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. I will also be meeting BJP president Amit Shah, and I am trying to meet as many leaders as possible. The kind of security I'll get will be decided by the government, as they can see what is happening to me. I am tired of demanding security but the government is not taking me seriously," she added.
