Exuding confidence of a win, politicians on Tuesday took a breather to chill out at home after the hectic canvassing of the previous weeks, as they awaited the results of the recent mammoth democratic exercise.

After weeks of hectic cheering and slogging as they canvassed under the scorching summer sun to garner maximum support for their party, most Indian politicians are now relaxing to regain their drained out energy for future course of action once the results are announced.

A leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Alok Sanjar said he is confident about the outcome of the results which will be announced on Friday. (May 16).

"I am eagerly waiting for the results but I am confident about the outcome because workers of Bharatiya Janata Party have worked hard and their only wish was to see the Lotus (Party symbol) blooming that's why when I read the faces of workers, I feel that the Lotus has bloomed in Bhopal. I think that Madhya Pradesh will give a good result to the country and Modi will become the prime minister of the country," said Sanjar.

Sanjar is the BJP candidate from Bhopal parliamentary constituency of Madhya Pradesh.

Anant Sanjar, the son of Alok Sanjar, could not conceal his excitement about following the election results live on television.

"We have decided that on the counting day we will watch the results live on television and we will have fun," he said.

Meanwhile, Congress leader, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, said that being a mature politician, a loss or a win was inconsequential to her.

"See we are mature in politics and loss and win don't bother us, but yes, it is my wish that UPA comes to power for the third time. I am eager about the results," said Joshi.

Another, BJP leader, Sumitra Mahajan, the party candidate from Indore Parliamentary constituency, said she expected a clear majority for the BJP.

"I am very excited about the formation of our government at the centre and I expect a clear majority for the Bharatiya Janata Party so that we come to power," said Mahajan.
