The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a roadshow, 'Run for Modi' here on Sunday to garner support ahead of the 'Brigade rally' of their party's prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi.
Modi is set to address the 'Brigade Rally' on February 5 to kick-start BJP's campaign for the general elections.
BJP member and former television actor, Gajendra Singh Chauhan, appreciated Modi's development model, and said that his popularity could be ascertained by the number of people present at his rallies.
"There is going to be Narendra Modi's rally in Kolkata soon, we are doing this campaign called 'Run for Modi' for the same. We have received great response from the people, and this kind of response shows how popular he is. I am confident that there will be more than ten lakh people present for his rally on February 5," he said.
West Bengal BJP president Rahul Sinha was also present during the roadshow along with party supporters.
Earlier on January 20, BJP organised a signature campaign to garner support for its Modi for his upcoming 'Brigade rally'.
