National Conference (NC) leader Devender Singh Rana on Tuesday described the hue and cry raised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his alleged Dogra Pagdi remarks as nefarious.
"The chief minister has made no mention of Dogra Pagdi at all. It is a nefarious design to divert the issue and divert the attention from their own misdeeds, and to create a confusion in the minds of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, we will not allow that to succeed. We will go to the people now before the elections, I will go personally along with my team to each nook and corner of Jammu and tell the people of Jammu what is the role of BJP MLAs in the last four -and- a -half -years, so that the public sees the real face of them," Rana said.
The BJP has reportedly got agitated over whatever Omar Abdullah had said about Dogra Pagdi in a function at Jammu Club on Monday, calling it as a disrespect and insult of the entire Dogra community.
