The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura recently staged a protest against the ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM) government in Tripura for not giving central pay scales to its employees.
The BJP has alleged that both employees and pensioners are the most deprived sections in the state.
"The state government is depriving the employees by not implementing the central pay scale. More than 43 percent dearness allowance (DA) along with arrear has to be given to the employees and pensioners and all. Beside this we also demand for proper transfer policy," alleged BJP state president Sudhindra Dasgupta.
"The Left Front came to power in Tripura on the vote of the employees and so they are depriving the employees so that the financially weak and is dependent of the ruling party for their needs," he added.
The party has also alleged that the state government is misleading the people of the state by telling them that they are not in a position to pay because of the union finance commission depriving the state government.
