The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday admonished the Shiv Sena for attacking the BCCI headquarters and stalling talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), saying that they need to practice restraint and avoid intolerance.
"The way there is a rise in the cases of intolerance, the Shiv Sena must avoid doing this. They should show some tolerance," Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy told ANI here.
Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi also condemned the agitation saying that despite the right to protest as mentioned in the Constitution, it should be done in a peaceful manner.
The Shiv Sena was slammed across the nation for serving as an impediment in the BCCI-PCB talks.
The talks, however, will continue tomorrow and the venue has been shifted to the national capital.
The Shiv Sena showed no signs of regret for disrupting the talks and said that the protest had been done in patriotic fervor while asserting that they will not stop protesting against Pakistan.
The Shiv Sainiks had earlier stormed into the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) office to protest against the meeting with the Pakistan Cricket board to discuss the India-Pakistan bilateral series slated for December.
