The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday rejected Congress president Sonia Gandhi's "Hawabaazi" comment with regard to the performance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his NDA Government, and said that the Congress, which has looted the nation, was not in a position to make such a statement.

The reaction came from BJP leader Ram Madhav, who said, "Sonia Gandhi is the leader of the party that has indulged in outright loot of our country in 10 years of their rule. Under this 10 year of rule they have been involved in 12 lakh crore corruption."

"In the last one year we (BJP) gave very clean transparent governance dedicated to the uplift of the poor of the country," he told ANI.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday trashed out at Narendra Modi, saying the Prime Minister has been reduced to an unedifying flip flop.

"It has become painfully clear that most of the promises by the PM during poll campaign were nothing more than 'hawabaazi", said Gandhi at the Congress Working Committee meeting.
