Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday lashed out at the Congress Party and said Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) drive against corruption rattled the grand old party.
While addressing a rally here, Modi said "Our efforts against corruption have naturally troubled the Congress".
Prime Minister Modi also highlighted the endeavours of the BJP which strengthened the economic condition of Amreli district.
"Amreli district is on the coast and it is the BJP Government in Gujarat that worked on harnessing the coastal strengths of this district. We focused on the blue economy".
"The BJP Government in Gujarat got dairies to Saurashtra. Amreli is emerging as a hub for dairy and cooperative sectors over the last two decades," PM Modi added.
Earlier in the day too, Prime Minister Modi attacked the Congress over numerous scams that allegedly took place under the UPA's tenure.

The prime minister said he might have sold tea to earn a living, but never sold his nation.
"The Congress dislikes me because of my poor origin. Can a party stoop so low? Yes, a person belonging to a poor family has become the prime minister. They do not fail to hide their contempt for this fact. Yes, I sold tea but I did not sell the nation," Prime Minister Modi said, while addressing a rally in Rajkot.
The elections in Gujarat will be held in two phases on December 9 and 14. While, the counting of votes will be on December 18.
