The Congress Party on Monday alleged that the ruling BJP's anti-farmer stand has been exposed and said that the struggle against the amendments of the Land Acquisition Bill would continue.
Talking about the protest over the Land Acquisition Bill, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said this is a protest march by the party's youth wing from Bhatta Parsaul in Uttar Pradesh to the Parliament.
"Both the farmers and the Congress will win. The anti-farmer stand of the BJP has been exposed," Surjewala told ANI here.
Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that the struggle in and outside the Parliament over the Land Acquisition Bill would continue.
The Lok Sabha had last week passed the Land Acquisition Bill of the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre via a voice vote. Nine amendments to the bill had been adopted.
Several other parties including the Janata Dal (United) and Lalu Prasad Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) have also opposed the ruling BJP's Land Acquisition Bill.
