BJP takes on Vadra, says wrongdoers won't be spared

Launching a frontal attack on Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra after the Rajasthan Government cancelled mutation of the land purchased by his firm Skylight Hospitality Private Limited in Bikaner, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday said that the wrongdoers would not be spared.

"When all these things were discussed previously, the Congress never stood. Now when the 'private citizen' has been cornered, why are they so concerned? The investigation was launched in Rajasthan according to which Robert Vadra's land deal was a fraud and we had said that we will take out the truth and that wrongdoers will not be spared," said BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Archana Sharma alleged that this is a political vendetta and said that there should be an investigation against Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

"This is political vendetta. If any investigation should be done, it should be against Vasundhara Raje government," said Sharma.

The Rajasthan Government has cancelled the mutation of a part of land purchased by Vadra's company Skylight Hospitality Private Limited in Bikaner on the grounds that it was bought from fake buyers.

The I-T Department has sought details of a number of official documents including sale and purchase agreements, list of sellers of the properties acquired, details of loans raised and details of the company's board meetings.

Earlier, a notice had been sent to Vadra's firm, Skylight Hospitality, seeking details of its financial and land deals.
