BJP trying to divide votes by pricing AIMIM in Bihar: Congress

The Congress Party on Sunday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of adopting tactics and trying to divide votes by pricing Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM in the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls.

Congress leader PC Chacko said: "These are some of the tactics adopted by some political parties. They only want to divide the votes. It shows their lack of confidence in Bihar polls. If BJP is confident, they need not play this game."

"BJP leader pricing Owaisi is very strange. Probably, the BJP is little scared of the alliance of the RJD-JD (U) and Congress. RJD-JD (U)-Congress is a winning combination in Bihar. BJP wants to divide the votes which is likely to come to this alliance," he added.

Chacko further said that the BJP will pay a huge price in Bihar Assembly polls as the people in the state would be in favour of the grand alliance.

The term of the 243-member Bihar Assembly comes to an end on November 29. The polls will be held on October 12, 16, 28, November 1 and 5. Counting of votes will take place on November 8.
