The Janata Dal (United) on Sunday flayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not commenting directly on the perpetrators of the Dadri lynching case, saying it had led to communal concern across the country and the BJP was trying to shift the incident to poll bound Bihar for gaining political mileage.
"The Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to shift Dadri to Patna, so that all the hatred, the communal tension and the fractured brotherhood can help them to gain some political mileage in Bihar," JD(U) leader K C Tyagi told ANI.
Tyagi also praised Shiv Sena's mouthpiece Saamna, which flayed the BJP for making beef an issue, saying the BJP was trying to communalise the atmosphere in the country since it had failed on its agenda of development.
"I feel that Prime Minister Modi was voted by the people for his agenda of development, but I feel he has changed his agenda and the situation is the same as it was in Godhra," he added.
Tyagi further said that despite President Pranab Mukherjee, Mufti Mohmmad Sayed and Shiv Sena condemning the Dadri lynching, Prime Minister Modi's 'mysterious' silence on the issue signalled 'serious threats' for the country in future.
