The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday won the Antagarh Assembly by-election in Chhattisgarh on Saturday.
BJP's Bhojraj Nag defeated Ambedkarite Party of India candidate Rupdhar Pudo by more than 50,000 votes.
Over 13,000 voters exercised the NOTA option in this by- election.
"The voting percentage has increased for us. I would like to thank the voters of the region for making us win by such large numbers," said Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh.
The Antagarh Assembly constituency, which is reserved for Schedule Tribe, is highly affected with left wing extremism.
