FIFA President Sepp Blatter has accused US attorney general, Loretta Lynch of portraying his organization as a 'mafia', adding that he would reveal the reason for his resignation once he steps down from the post.

Blatter branded the investigation into FIFA as a 'Tsunami', insisting that there is a need for an immediate solution.

Blatter, who has been associated with FIFA since 40 years, will be replaced as a president when his successor is announced after the elections, which will take place on February 26.

FIFA's image has been hampered after 14 sports marketing executives and football officials, including several from Zurich-based FIFA, were indicted by the United States in late May over corruption charges.
