With Diwali just a week ahead, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced bonus to its employees, ranging from Rs. 2250 to Rs 14500.
The civic body also estimated more than Rs.160 crore expenditures for the same.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government also announced Diwali bonus of Rs. 7000 for state employees. This will benefit around 14 lakh employees.
