Louisiana's Governor Bobby Jindal has promised to be a doer as the president of the United States following his announcement to run for the race in 2016.
According to The Washington Post, Jindal said that the US has "a bunch of great talkers running for president", adding that now it was time for a "doer".
He also said that he would do things one could not do in Washington.
Jindal, the Oxford-educated son of Indian immigrants, is famous for his policy credentials.
He is the 13th Republican candidate to join the race. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker are also expected to enter the 2016 presidential race.
