Boeing is reportedly checking US produced 787 Dreamliner planes for potential hairline cracks in their wings.
Boeing started to look for possible wing cracks after Japanese supplier Mitsubishi Heavy Industries warned the US aerospace company that a change in its manufacturing process could result in cracks.
The company said that nearly 40 planes could have been affected, adding that there may be some delays in deliveries.
Boeing, however, said that it was confident that the issue did not exist in the in-service fleet.
In a statement issued by the company, it said that the affected areas were very small and the time required to address the issue would vary between one and two weeks.
