Australian national coach Darren Lehmann has hinted at an international recall for forgotten speedster Doug Bollinger as the bowler said that it was nice to have the former cricketer as coach because he always had bits and pieces of important information.
According to The Age, Bollinger expressed that Lehmann liked his aggression and called the coach a pretty honest bloke.
The bowler said that Lehmann seemed like a straight shooter and everyone said that he was one.
The left-armer has fallen well down Australia's pace bowling pecking order since the 2010-11 Ashes series but injuries to young guns James Pattinson, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins have left the door ajar for a seasoned campaigner such as Bollinger, the report added.
He said that he may not be as young as some of the new guys coming through but with a lot of bowling and years under his belt, he had a lot of experience, adding that everyone thought Ryan Harris was gone but he is still a great player.
Bollinger added that all the coaches around him are happy to see what he has been doing around his domestic team and how he is approaching things.
