Bollywood renowned singer Lata Mangeshkar took to Twitter to congratulate team India on their win against team Pakistan in the opening match of 2015 World Cup.
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachcan, who was also present in the commentary box during the match, wished the winning team on putting up a great show.
Bachchan tweeted that, "Well played INDIA. Entire team showed resolve, talent and determination..!! May you continue such onwards .. JAI HIND !!"
Actor Boman Irani also showed his support for India. He congratulated the team adding that the team was cool, clinical and in control and they sweated at home more than the players did on the field.
'Roy' actor Arjun Rampal tweeted, "Congratulations India. Great start, keeping our record intact.Fantastic game our team played. Outplayed them completely Virat man of the match".
India defeated Pakistan by 76 runs and kept their record intact of never losing to the neighbors in the World Cup matches.
