The Bombay High Court on Tuesday granted permission to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan to visit Dubai for an awards show.
Khan, who got a respite in the 2002 hit-and- run case after the Bombay High Court stayed his five-year conviction, is travelling to Dubai to attend the 'Indo-Arab Bollywood Awards' show on May 29.
As per reports, Salman has been directed to submit Rs two lakh as cash security before leaving the country.
A criminal court had earlier convicted Salman of culpable homicide on charges that he lost control of his car when driving under the influence of alcohol in 2002 and rammed into a group of people sleeping on a pavement.
Khan denies being behind the wheel, contradicting the testimony of several witnesses. In March, the actor's driver said he was driving the vehicle during the accident, while Khan rode in the passenger's seat.
The high court will next hear the case on June 12.
