The Bombay High Court on Friday suspended Salman Khan's five year sentence in the 2002 hit-and-run case.

With this ruling, the Dabagg star will not be taken to jail. However, he will first have to go to the Sessions Court in order to execute a fresh bail bond because his two-day interim bail ends today.

Further details are awaited.

On Wednesday, a Mumbai Sessions Court found Salman guilty of culpable homicide and sentenced him to five years imprisonment in connection with the 2002 hit-and-run case, where he ran over a homeless person and injured four others.

However, the Bombay High Court granted him a two-day interim bail for the same.
