British actor of Indian origin Paul Bhattacharjee killed himself after being declared bankrupt, it has been revealed.
Bhattacharjee's body was found at Splash Point cliffs in Seaford, East Sussex, on 12 July.
The actor, who was part of a production at the Royal Court Theatre at the time of his death, was found at Splash Point cliffs in Seaford, East Sussex in July, the BBC reported.
According to his partner Emma McKie, Bhattacharjee was a proud man who had a darkness inside him that was irreparable.
McKie said in a statement to Eastbourne Magistrates' Court said that the actor was a "protective man and he couldn't have handled the bankruptcy becoming public knowledge" and that the bankruptcy was the final straw after a life of major highs and lows.
