U2 frontman Bono, who met with a horrific bike accident in November, 2013, has said that he may never play guitar again due to a severe injury.

The 54-year-old musician said the in a letter to his fans, that he was unable to move around physically and would have to focus very hard to be fit for his bands' next tour, the BBC reported.

The Irish singer- songwriter stated that recovery has been more difficult than he thought and it is not clear that he will ever play guitar again as he now had a titanium elbow.

He added that he personally would very much miss fingering the frets of his green Irish falcon or his (red) Gretsch, just for the pleasure, aside from writing tunes.

The singer broke his arm in six places and fractured his eye socket, hand and shoulder blade in the accident.
