Former Australia cricket captain Allan Border admitted that the new stand-in skipper Steve Smith has the perfect talent to fill the gap at the number four in the absence of injured Australian skipper Michael Clarke.
Border said that number four batting position was a good spot for him as he could play both roles, adding that he had the whole package in terms of batting for longer times and taking the attack to the bowler, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Smith scored an unbeaten 162 runs, his highest till date, in the first innings of the first Test against India at Adelaide Oval.
