Several issues including Telangana rocked the proceedings in both the Houses of Parliament forcing their adjournment for the day on Thursday.
As soon as the Lok Sabha met for the day, members from various parties trooped into the Well of the House raising slogans against the creation of a new state of Telangana, the arrest of Tamil fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy and other issues.
Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House amidst the din.
Similar scenes were witnessed in the Rajya Sabha, when Bahujan Samaj Party members tried to raise the issue of Muzaffarnagar riots even before Chairman and Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari took his seat.
Ansari later adjourned the House as noisy scenes continued.
