British two-time world champion Amir Khan has revealed that he would travel to Pakistan before the year ends in order to show support for the victims of the army school that were massacred by Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants in Peshawar.
Seven TTP militants killed 141 people in the attack on 16 December, which included 132 children.
Khan, whose parents were born in Pakistan, said that he just wants to speak the truth and tell people what is happening is wrong. The WBC Silver welterweight champion donated boxing shorts worth 30,000 pounds to help pay for the school to be rebuilt, The BBC reported.
Khan said that he believes it's more important now than ever to go over there, adding that he thinks it would send a statement to a lot of people that 'Amir Khan' is going to Pakistan to make a difference. He claimed that he wants Pakistan to be a better country.
Khan, who in May became a father for the first time, plans to make the trip between Christmas and the New Year. He said that the news hurt him even more having a little girl.
The boxer claimed that it's very disgusting seeing or hearing stuff like this, adding that one can never think people would be that sick in their mind.
