Former boxing heavyweight champion, Frank Bruno's daughter will release a new documentary this month about her father's ongoing ten-year struggle with manic depression.
According to The Sun, an hour-long BBC programme will feature Rachel talking to her father about his condition along with meeting other sufferers to gain their insights on coping with the illness.
Bruno, who retired in 1996 after losing his world title in a Las Vegas bout with Mike Tyson, which gave him a cut eye, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2003 and was sectioned under the Mental Health Act, the report said.
The former world champ said that during the time of his disorder in 2010, he started phoning up people and going to people's houses along with doing many other odd things, adding that he was glad that he got hold of it and went to the hospital, with his daughter and certain other people forcing him to get sectioned.
The champion added that their support was one of the best things that could have happened to him.
