Bradley Cooper is taking 'Elephant Man' to stage in London.
The 3 time Oscar nominated star, 40, who recently received critical acclaim for the role on Broadway, would be portraying the physically deformed John Merrick, whose true-life story inspired David Lynch's Bafta-winning 1980 film, the BBC reported.
The Bernard Pomerance's play, which would run in New York until 21 February, also stars Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola, and would be transferred to London for a limited season beginning on 19 May, and would play at the Theatre Royal Haymarket until 8 August.
The Scott Ellis directed play was first staged in London in 1977, and the 'American Sniper' star said that he was "bringing Merrick home.
