A 9-year-old girl, from Derbyshire, was presented with an 'outstanding bravery' award after she saved her father from imminent death by kick starting his heart when it stopped beating.

Izzy McCarron told the Matlock Mercury that she tried performing a CPR on her father, Colm, when he collapsed after suffering a mystery allergic reaction, but her hands were not strong enough, Metro.co.uk reported.

McCarron said that she kicked her dad really hard because that's all she could think of at the time.

Her mother, Debbie, said that she just can't believe what her daughter did and believes that all children should be taught first aid.
