Pakistan's foreign office has summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan J P Singh to lodge a strong protest with him against India's outrage over the release order of alleged Mumbai attack mastermind Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi and said that the country's hue and cry was not justified.

According to Dawn News, Pakistan's foreign ministry also raised the issue of 2007 Samjhota Express terror attack saying that India was deliberately delaying the trial.

Pakistani officials blamed Indian government for the hindrance in trial of accused of Mumbai attack being taken in Pakistan and India simultaneously.

The ministry also said that India never shared credible evidence about Mumbai attacks with Pakistan despite its repeated requests.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday declared the detention of Lakhvi void and null, ordering his release.
