Australian pace spearhead Brett Lee has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, saying that he would retire from the Twenty20 cricket after the end of this year's Big Bash League campaign.
Lee, who continued to play Twenty20 cricket following his retirement from international cricket in 2012, said that it had been an amazing and emotional 20 years as he had enjoyed every single moment of it, News.com.au reported.
Addressing a media conference, he further said that he knew before the start of the season that this was going to be his last season and really want to enjoy this year, the report added.
Playing for the Sydney Sixers, Lee has claimed 31 wickets in his four Big Bash League season.
Lee shares the record of leading wicket-taker for Australia in ODIs alongside Glenn McGrath, with 380 in 221 appearances.
